
An Aquidneck Island native, Lyndsey began her training at the age of 5 at
Position One under the direction of Lorna Rozon. She continued dancing and
teaching throughout College, graduating with a B.A. in Dance Performance and
Education with a minor in Psychology from Roger Williams University. She is
a Regional and National Dance Champion, receiving many prestigious awards -
Dance Olympus "Best of Show" in 2003 and 2004 - giving her the opportunity
to perform in the Faculty Showcase each year; "Miss Teen" Dance Educators
of America for two years; High Score Soloist at Starbound Competition and "Dancer of the Year". Lyndsey has studied on scholarship at "STEPS" on
Broadway and the "JOFFREY" Ballet in New York. She toured with the Dance
Olympus Faculty as a "VIP" in 1999 and assisted renowned choreographers from
across the country in various dance workshops and classes. In 1997, she
performed at the Florida Citrus Bowl half-time show. During College, she
was part of the Dance Theatre group and a featured soloist in 2004. Upon
graduating, Lyndsey co-directed, choreographed and performed in "The Souls
Of Our Feet". Lyndsey has had the opportunity to learn from many talented
choreographers and continues to take classes in all genres of dance when
possible. Lyndsey is passionate about dance and feels blessed to share her
extensive knowledge with the students of Position One and her community.
Lyndsey has been a Dance Educator for over 10 years and is going into her
fifth (5th) year of owning and operating Position One. Additionally, she is
a mentor to many of her students during their senior year in high school and
helps them with senior projects. Lyndsey has received choreography awards
for her routines performed at Regional competitions. Her Performing Arts
Troupe performs throughout the community and continues to compete
regionally and nationally, receiving many awards.

Connie started dancing 12 years ago with the Coventry High School Dance Team. After high school graduation, she took dance classes and performed with the Hip-Hop Troupe “Off The Curb” in Newport, R.I. In the three years she was with “Off The Curb,” Connie traveled and performed at various functions, met many new and interesting people and gained valuable experiences that have helped her as a Dance Instructor. Connie has been teaching Hip-Hop for the past 10 years, instructing children through adults. She has a degree in Community Health with a concentration in nutrition from Rhode Island College. This is Connie’s ffith year at Position One and under her enthusiastic and unique instruction, Hip-Hop classes have doubled.

KELSEY MANCHESTER
Kelsey is currently a junior at Providence College.
She plans to major in either Elementary Education or Special Education with
a minor in Dance. Kelsey teaches Pointe classes on Thursday afternoons and Ballet/Tap on Saturday mornings.
